| UFO, an object or light reportedly(según
se dice) seen in the sky whose(cuya)
appearance, trajectory, and general dynamic and luminescent behavior(comportamiento)
    do not readily suggest(sugiere)
a logical, conventional explanation. Some of these phenomena(fenómenos)
have been photographed and others correlated(correlacionados)
    with radar echoes(ecos,
    resonancias).

 Throughout history(durante,
en toda la historia, épocas) there have been reports(ha
habido informes) of strange objects in the sky. In the 20th
cent. a number of observers claim to have seen vehicles, or “flying
    saucers(platillos
volantes),” which some believe are space ships visiting the
    earth from other planets.

Because the objects are often shining(brillando)
and in that part of the sky opposite the sun, most investigators, official
    and unofficial alike(por
igual), tend to interpret them as reflections of the sun's rays
from airplanes. Some UFOs, when pursued(perseguidos)
by planes, have proved to be weather balloons(globos
atmosféricos) or other objects of unquestionably terrestrial
    origin. Fireballs(bolas
de fuego), meteors, and other meteorological phenomena
    account for(explican)
most of the relatively few UFOs that observers report seeing at night.

 However, there are some sightings(avistamientos)
    that investigators are unable(incapaces)
    to explain in terms of(en
    términos de) known phenomena(fenómenos
    conocidos).
